Colour intensity
A feature found on most inkjet printers that controls the brightness of an image by varying the amount of ink applied to the page; lighter images use less ink and darker images use more.
Camera usually or often have settings where you can adjust the sharpness, colour intensity, etc. etc. The variations are quite marked, so maybe you could check those settings as well.
