Concave Lens
A lens in which the principal optical surface curves into the body of the glass, i.e. the glass has a hollow or dent.

Concave lens
Simple lens, or lens shape within a compound lens, whose surfaces curve inward. Such a lens causes light rays to diverge.

-Concave lens - see Bi-concave lens.
-Condenser - optical system which concentrates light rays from a wide source into a narrow beam. Condensers are used in spotlights and enlargers.

Positive numbers are convex lenses, concave lenses have negative dioptric values.

This sort of hologram is effectively a concave lens, since it "converts" a plane wavefront into a divergent wavefront. It will also increase the divergence of any wave which is incident on it in exactly the same way as a normal lens does.

same way we have to countinously make sure that each time the distance from where the light comes, changes, we must alter the focal lenth i.e. the distance after which the rays of light meet, in order to recieve pin- point photos. The concave lense ...
