Continuous autofocus. An automatic focusing setting in which the camera constantly refocuses the image as you frame the picture. This setting is often the best choice for moving subjects. See also single autofocus.
The continuous autofocus system of the Nikon D3S is essentially unchanged from that featured in the D3 and D3X.
Select single autofocus if you plan on shooting stationary subjects or continuous autofocus for moving subjects. In continuous autofocus, camera continuously adjusts focus to keep moving subject in sharp focus.
