Continuous Mode - This mode is very useful for shooting moving objects as it lets you take photos one after the other continuously in a rapid succession. Also known as drive.

Continuous mode can capture a series of images much like movie frames. You can select the best one for printing, use them all to created an animation, or use the series to analyze an action such as the swing of a golf club or baseball bat.

Continuous mode (also called burst or sequential mode) is the camera mode whereby the images are taken immediately one after another.

Â- Burst Mode: Continuous mode, often called burst mode, lets you press and hold a camera's shutter button to capture a series of shots in rapid succession. This mode is great for recording action scenes, high-energy kids, and pets.

Shoot entire series of action - Use continuous mode to shoot multiple frames before during and after the action that way you can choose the best frame.

Burst Mode. Also know as continuous mode or "Auto wind" on older SLR's. However, today's Digital SLR's have bust modes of up to 8 frames per second. Great for sports and action shots.

The best advice I can give when taking a shot in continuous mode (or in any mode for that matter) is to work hard at gently applying pressure to your shutter button rather than jabbing at it.

Rapid-fire mode will not work if the camera is in continuous mode, if the flash is in manual mode at full or half power or if the camera is in stroboscopic flash mode at a fairly fast setting.

Shoot on continuous mode. This will allow you to capture an action sequence and increase the probability of getting a good image. A battery grip (available for many DSLRs) will increase the battery power of the camera and also increase the frame rate.

You can save flash mode, picture style, image brightness, single shot or continuous mode, image recoding quality and bias exposure toward smaller or larger apertures. Once saved, these settings will be remembered every time you select the "CA" mode.

You would have switched the camera to Continuous mode, set the switch on the back to Dynamic, changed the number of focus points, raised the ISO setting, turned on the image stabilization, etc.
