Continuous shooting - In continuous mode the camera can shoot at up to 1.7 images per second until the internal memory buffer is full. Macro mode - The macro mode on the S20 allows shooting up to 4.7" (12cm) from the camera.

 


Continuous Shooting: Continuous shooting specifications tell you how fast the camera can take continuously shoot in frames per second. This is important if you're intending to do a lot of sports photography were there is lots of movement.

Press and hold the shutter release and the camera will shoot frames at approximately 3 frames per second (depending on shutter speed).

Use the Continuous Shooting mode. The camera will move slightly as your finger overcomes the resistance of pressing the shutter button. Also, if you have a DSLR camera, the movement of the mirrors in the body will add to camera shake.

8 Use continuous shooting for better focus. Because of wind, you may find it difficult to get the precise focus you need. Put your camera on continuous shooting and just hold the shutter down for a burst of shots as you work to find focus.

High-speed continuous shooting at approx. 5.2 images per second
The high-speed continuous shooting mode captures as many as 40 images (in JPEG recording format) at a maximum speed of approximately 5.

Drive - or Continuous Shooting lets you take multiple pictures one right after another in succession. Also know as burst.

It's usually called the "continuous shooting" mode. It's the mode in which you hold down the shutter button and your camera takes multiple frames in row.

Use the continuous shooting mode to photograph a friend dancing badly, for example, and you're sure to have the perfect candid photo to put on your Facebook wall. Try candid photography with a longer zoom lens.

Changing to ISO 400, I select continuous shooting on the motordrive and hope that five frames-per-second is fast enough. After a few attempts, I realise that there’s a delay between the trigger being pulled and the flash.

However, if I set the 'drive' to 'continuous shooting' mode, it will take three shots (at the different exposures) and stop.
