-Contrast values - perceived difference between the light areas (highlights) and the dark areas (shadows) of a scene. The range of contrast levels between the highlights and the shadows is called Contrast Values.
There is a software technique for combining exposures to get the most from a scene with high contrast values. This involves bracketing exposures, and it is something we will cover in detail in our Tips section.
