Copal 0 = 1 sec. to 1/500, no aperture click stops, no remote aperture control
Copal 1 = 1 sec. to 1/400, no aperture click stops, no remote aperture control
Copal 3 = 1 sec. to 1/125, no aperture click stops, no remote aperture control ...

Other focal plane shutter designs, such as the Copal Square, travelled vertically - the shorter travelling distance of 24 millimetres (as opposed to 36 mm horizontally) meant that minimum exposure and flash synchronisation times could be reduced.

Standard for Hasselblad, Mamiya and older Canon, and 1960s and 1970s Copal shutters for view cameras.

I bought a 210 Rodenstock 4X5 lens, with shutter, but received it with a press shutter, somewhat less useful than the standard Copal that you can cock and have less chance for camera shake, etc.
