CR-V3

CR-V3 - This is a 3V lithium battery used in many Olympus brand (and other) digital cameras. It lasts much longer than alkaline but it is also more costly. See CR-V3 batteries here.

Olympus CR-V3 Lithium battery
There are just too many types of proprietary lithium ion rechargeable batteries in the market today. Each camera maker tends to adopt a new battery design almost every time a new digital camera is launched.

The first is batteries that are an established off-the-shelf form factor, most commonly AA, CR2, or CR-V3 batteries, with AAA batteries in a handful of cameras. The CR2 and CR-V3 batteries are lithium based, and intended for single use.

Idea: There is a rechargeable CR-V3 system I've seen circulating under various sub-prime brand names. You can get one here for $30 with the charger and spare batteries here for $20.
