As part of my new position as CTO of SpeckyBoy I've decided to write a series of articles that will help you understand what it takes to make a truly fast site.
If we went with Rosco we could buy a "Roscosun CTO" gel that performs a +167 mired shift. Or if we went with Lee Filters we could go with a "Full C.T. Orange" gel to get +159.
I also found an internet source for the Roscoe 1/2 CTO warming (orange) gel I tape over the flash to give nice, warm fill light instead of the usual bluish light I'd get from naked flash.
Its similar to the others and is based on CTO "configure to order" used in manufacturing/engineering environments. I shoot a lot of motor racing. And I keep a calender of where I was on a given weekend so I know the event the photos refer to.
great framing, great subject, great everything, but horrible horrible utilization of flash. Throw some CTO on it or SOMETHING.
