You have processed a roll of daylight-balanced slide film. After removing the film from the dryer, you notice all of the frames taken indoors have a greenish cast.

 


If you take a photo indoors using slow shutter sync with flash and daylight-balanced film, you'll get a normally coloured subject with strange orange-yellow fringing.

I'm waiting for the manufacturers to put more powerful modeling lights that are closer to daylight-balanced into these heads.

They are daylight-balanced, 5,600-to-6,000K, with a 3,200K option, relatively low pressure and short Hot Restrike Time with high output and high CRI.

Very few people or objects look good with the sickly green cast of daylight-balanced film exposed under fluorescent light. For a film camera, the solution is a Tiffen FL-D filter screwed over the lens.

Some of the most popular photography studio lighting equipment used today includes tungsten, AC- and DC-powered strobes or studio lights, battery-powered location strobes, daylight-balanced fluorescents, HMI and LED lights.

The color temperature difference between golden incandescent or neon lights and the cool blue of the daylight-balanced twilight sky is crucial to getting the background glow that you see here.

It should also be remembered that these samples are shot under daylight-balanced lighting, giving the best possible results - under artificial lighting that often provides little blue light, you can expect the results to be less positive.

Some are called "cool" or "warm" or "daylight," these words reference the color of the light. Warm lights will look more orange, cool lights will look blue. Daylight-balanced lights might actually look white, ...
