It will only work with TTL ambient light metering with the 1n, 1v and EOS 3. I have tried my MP-E 65mm lens on my Canon 10D and it seems to meter just fine. I suspect that this lens will TTL meter properly with all of Canon's digital SLR cameras.

As of 2002, my dream camera is probably the Canon EOS-D60. I figure a Canon EF 28-70 USM 2.8L would go perfectly with it. Given a focal length multiplier of 1.6, that makes a 44.8-112 zoom. Unfortunately the total cost would come in at over $3000.

For newbies, I recommend the Canon EOS Digital Rebel or Canon EOS Digital SLR 40D with 300mm IS 4L Canon lens and 1.4X converter. A combination that puts you right in the game of bird flight photography is Canon’s EOS 40D with a 400mm f/5.
Professional cameras (Canon EOS D30, D60, Nikon D100 and the higher-end models) don’t compensate as much, and also offer the option to turn the sharpening off altogether.

5 megapixel Canon EOS-20D
A golden rule to bear mind: a camera with more megapixels isn't always better. If your camera supports more megapixels, then each photo you take will be larger.
