EPS

EPS
The Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) language file format is supported by most illustration and page-layout programs and, in most cases, is the preferred format for these applications.

EPS - Short for "Encapsulated Post-Script," EPS is useful in transferring Postscript art from one application to another.

A graphic file format developed by Aldus, Adobe, and Altsys to allow exchange of PostScript graphic files (image information) between application programs.

EPS
Encapsulated PostScript. A computer file format based on the PostScript standard. It is supported by most graphic design and page layout programs. In addition to the PostScript code, the EPS file also contains a low resolution PICT.

Most autotracing packages read files in a variety of bit-mapped formats (PCX and TIFF are the most common) and produce a file in a vector format such as Encapsulated PostScript (EPS ).

If you have to ask if full CS2 is worth the extra $500 over elements then the answer for you is a clear NO. On the other hand, if you need to work with EPS files and everything else then you professionals know you'll need the full version.

Some compress information in the image more so it creates smaller files. Whilst this is good for storage space and e mailing, information will be lost in the image when you come to print it. (tiff, jpeg, Psd, GIF, and EPS.) ...
