Golden Gate National Recreation Area
Areas within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area are under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service. Permit requirements are the same as those for National Parks.

NAND gate in CMOS logic
More complex logic functions such as those involving AND and OR gates require manipulating the paths between gates to represent the logic.

I made a 6x12 gate for mine for about one dollar.
I bought a sheet of 8x10" glass at the hardware store.
I paid them an extra 50 cents to cut it into two 4x10" pieces.

AND Gate A gate whose output is ON only if all input signals are ON. Angle of Incidence Angle between the incident ray of light and a normal drawn to the point of reflection. I.e.

This barrier may be in the form of a warning sign, locked gate, or a door, depending on the degree of security required.

Now let's get back to our time-gate. Like the aperture opening or F-stop, the shutter also has a set of settings. This is usually measured in second or fraction of a second and each is half or double the next one just like the aperture opening.

There is a gate that keeps people back a few feet to protect the door (#2), and while it doesn’t ruin the picture completely, it’s not what I wanted.

Upon arrival in the Bronx, I made my way to the press gate, tossed my two bags of gear into an airport-security-looking X-ray machine and made my way to the press desk.

Doubling the shutter speed setting (1/100 sec to 1/200 sec, for example) halves the time the shutter stays open--the number of cows getting in depends on how long the gate stays open.

Be aware that you may still be required to gate check certain items on smaller planes that have less space for carry-on baggage.

The "shutter speed" is the amount of time a gate called the shutter allows light to pass through the lens to the film or digital sensor.

Right from the gate, I started printing them on textured cold-press art papers...and then began adding paints...acrylics and water colors. My clients loved them...still do.

This is hardly a new idea: it's the basis of all HDR photography techniques - it's not even the first camera to offer in-camera HDR merging (in fact the Pentax K-7 not only beat Sony to the gate on this feature, ...

I have to admit that I was a little disappointed with my daylight images of the Brandenburg Gate, but I planned to stay later to catch dusk as it fell so I went back for another go.

The speed with which film moves past the gate. For movies, 24 is normal in the USA. Higher rates produce Slow Motion (by providing more frames during projection). Slowing down the rate speeds up the action.

The three pictures below show increasingly less literal views of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. My favorite is the one on the right.

Bad lighting at the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California
Much better lighting
Cool lighting. At dusk, with artificial lighting on the palm. Use the auto white balance setting for photographs like this.

Keep the edges plain and simple, keep the areas of interest within the frame. In the example here the dry stone wall and gate bottom right is an unwelcome addition to the shot.

This was shot with a very wide angle lens, 17mm and the distance to the crossing gate was about 15 feet.
With a 17mm lens at f 22 the DOF is from 1.28 Feet in front of the camera to Infinity, at f4 the DOF is from5.6 Feet to infinity.

Even if you're allowed to carry the three bags through the screening area, it's up to the airlines to decide whether they'll let you bring them all onboard. You can find yourself at the gate with an airline employee demanding that you gate-check a ...

Are you interested in making long exposures of cars driving over the Golden Gate Bridge at dusk? Once again, secure your camera on a tripod, then trip the shutter using the self timer.

There are different types of Memory Sticks - Standard, Pro, Duo, Duo-Pro, and Magic Gate. Confusing, isn't it! To make matters worse, they are not necessarily interchangeable.

For example, a hockey player on a breakaway will try to shoot the puck; the horses at a horse race will explode out of the gate at the beginning of the race. Anticipating such action helps you set up and capture the photograph you want.

These characteristics usually include the film gauge, pull down method, lens anamorphosis and film gate or projector aperture dimensions, all of which need to be defined for photography as well as projection, as they may differ.

You can always adjust the white balance with photo editing software later. But when you want to nail down the colors right out of the gate, switch to manual mode and get a reference shot. You'll be happy with what you see.

Due to this drastic change of temperature, the volume of the molded item shrinks. But the shrinkage is not uniform, and the shrinkage ratio varies drastically, depending on shape, thickness, distance from the pouring gate and other factors.
