-Multigrade Filter Selection Guide Filter Number Use 00 Normal prints from very contrasty negatives. Produces very flat prints from normal or low-contrast negatives.
GRADE - A system of classifying the contrast of photographic papers used in making black and white prints, ranging from 0 to 5 (soft to hard).

Graded Paper: Black and white photo paper that is manufactured on specific contrast grades. Normally expressed as a scale from 1-5, with 5 being the highest contrast.
