Haze filter

UV Haze Filter: A visually clear filter that removes bluish haze caused by ultraviolet light. Commonly left on the lens all the time to serve as protection.

haze filter includes contrast and correction filters. When contrast and correction filters are used for haze penetration, they may be considered special-purpose filters.

Odd that no one has hinted at what I understand a UV/Haze filter to be good for: filtering haze.

Many landscape photographers avoid the use of any filter other than a polarizer and perhaps a haze filter. Others use an arsenal of different filters to enhance the natural appearance of a scene.

There is more variation in color palettes between various film emulsions than there is between a UV filter, Haze filter and a Skylight filter. All of these have a very slight warming component which can actually benefit most outdoor subjects.

These can include polarizing filters to reduce glare and improve saturation, or simple UV/haze filters to provide extra protection for the front of your lens.

In this case, increasing shutter speed will reduce the time that reflections have to bounce around the lens. Also, a lens hood will reduce the amount of off angle reflections entering the lens. A haze filter can also help in many cases.
