Intensifier
Chemical treatment for adding density to an underexposed or underdeveloped negative or print.

Images can be captured in low light, but not total darkness, using an image intensifier, a device also found in night vision goggles and night scopes.

I've never been a big fan of "color intensifier" filters since it is impossible to control their effect adequately. Any selective optimization of color saturation is far easier to do after the fact in Photoshop.

-Sodium bichromate - chemical used in intensifiers, toners and bleaches.
-Sodium bisulfite - chemical used in fixing baths as an acidifying agent.
-Sodium chloride - used in some bleaches and reducers.

-Copper chloride - chemical contained in certain bleaches, toners, intensifiers, and reducers.
-Copper sulfate - chemical contained in certain bleaches, toners, intensifiers, and reducers.
