process whereby prints are separated one from another by a sheet of non-adhering material, used to prevent blocking.

In reference to a single image, the storage of two or more subimages which are combined to create a final image by displaying alternate scan-lines from each subimage.
I don't use interleaving sheets to separate the photos on opposite pages but I guess I probably should.
Multiplexing (aka 'muxing') is the process of interleaving small sections or 'blocks' of different file types - e.g. video, audio and subtitle text - into a single data stream, to allow simultaneous playback.
-Silicon release paper - thin, heat resistant interleaving paper, used between a photographic print and textured material in a heated press. It allows remolding of the print surface yet prevents the two materials from sticking together.
The device, usually found inside the lens, which uses a set of interleaving blades to control the size of the aperture.

Diffuse Lighting
Lighting that is low or moderate in contrast; an overcast day is a good example.
