interleaving process whereby prints are separated one from another by a sheet of non-adhering material, used to prevent blocking.
interleaving In reference to a single image, the storage of two or more subimages which are combined to create a final image by displaying alternate scan-lines from each subimage.
I don't use interleaving sheets to separate the photos on opposite pages but I guess I probably should.
Multiplexing (aka 'muxing') is the process of interleaving small sections or 'blocks' of different file types - e.g. video, audio and subtitle text - into a single data stream, to allow simultaneous playback.
