LiOn. Lithium ion battery.
Long-focal-length lens (telephoto lens). A lens that provides a narrow angle of view of a scene, including less of a scene than a lens of normal focal length and therefore magnifying objects in the image.

What I believe is a lie and deceiving is pasting an African lion onto an Asian landscape and selling that image to a client who had asked for images of African lions taken in Africa.

The penguins and the sea lion were shot at the zoo (still saving for that trip to the Antarctic) which gives you a better chance because it's more difficult for them to get away from you.

It may not be as thrilling to photograph a lion or a zebra in a zoo as it is in the veld of Africa, but you can still take some terrific pictures. Because you can get much closer to your quarry, you can work with shorter lenses.

Viewers have certain expectations, for example, of how intense or what shade of yellow a lion should be.

During one of my photo tours to Kenya, our group found three lion cubs in a tree one morning in Samburu National Park (#5), and I took about a dozen close-up pictures of one of the cubs before I examined the images on my LCD monitor.
