Lithium-ion batteries - A popular, long-lasting, rechargeable battery technology often used in digital cameras; lithium is the lightest metal and features the highest electromechanical potential.
It runs on a lithium-ion rechargeable battery, a nice touch, but Delkin still only rates it as running for an hour on a charge. Heck, my Canon A70 camera runs 4 or 5 hours on a charge.

Most digital cameras are powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
Some cameras work with AA size batteries, others come with a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery and adapter to charge it. Both systems have their merrits.
Do not confuse the Lithium batteries mentioned above with the rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries. Another choice would be to use rechargeable NiMhs or NiCds in high drain applications such as digicams.
Li-Ion - Stands for 'Lithium-Ion'. At the time of writing this, it is the latest kind of rechargeable battery, superior to Ni-MH.
Some digicams are packaged with a lithium-ion re-chargeable battery pack. Lithium ION batteries are lighter but are more costly than Ni-MH or Ni-Cd (NiCad) rechargeables.
Most newer HP digital cameras use a rechargeable custom factory Lithium-Ion battery. These have the longest life. For older HP models that require traditional AA batteries, Lithium-Ion and Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries are recommended.
