To load film into a light tight tank the film must be loaded onto a film reel. We have 2 types of reels - plastic and metal. The plastic reels are easier to load. The metal reels are more reliable.

Between appointments you have time to straighten up the studio, load film, complete job orders, screen processed portrait film, and so on. Appointments should be made at least 15 minutes apart.

Once in a long, long time there'll be a dust mark on a Ready/Quickload film, but they're damn rare. And...print spotting. Suggestions. I presume that a matte or semi-matte surface is the best to work on Not really.

A camera that has an (alleged) simple way to load film. There are many different approaches depending on the camera. Generally, you drop the film canister into the camera, pull out an extra inch of film to a certain mark, and close the camera.

Another use for a darkroom is to load film in and out of cameras, development spools, or film holders, which requires complete darkness.

Pull the crank up, and it releases the camera back, to load and unload film. The bottom part is the ASA, or film speed, setting. Pulling up on the outer ring allows you to rotate a dial to change the ASA setting.

The only thing digital was our fingers, used to load film and press the shutter.
