Tip 6: Avoid the Digital Zoom, just crop later in computer.
If your camera phone has an OPTICAL Zoom go ahead and use it. But most camera phones only have a Digital zoom.

An extreme long shot can be used to give the audience an overall view of the setting before the main action is introduced The use of an ELS is an effective way to capture audience interest from the start.

So, I know that when I'm past chasing trophy Tahr around the Southern Alps with a camera or rifle, I've got two options left: chase them around tourist parks of Queenstown, or try for long shots from my armchair.

The basic action photos you see in all types of golf photography are "big swing" pictures of golfers driving off the tee or hitting long shots in the fairway; players blasting out of sand traps and other hazards; and finally, putting on the green.

This movement of the sand will affect the stability of your tripod (and seeing as this is a 30-second long shot, you will need all the stability you can get). So, look for a stable place, e.g. surface of a rock or coral.
