- When buying a memory card, note the class and its mbps speed. This is absolutely more important than considering a purchase based on the brand. Another one of my posts explains what the 'class' of a memory card means.
While Ebay is an excellent source for many items, be very careful when buying memory cards though them. There are apparently lots and lots of fake memory cards being sold there.
Memory cards are the most common way to feed images to a frame. Ideally the frame accepts the same type of card as your camera so you can pop it into the frame to share the days results.

When a digital camera takes a picture, this digital picture is stored in a memory card. There are a few kinds of memory cards.
Memory cards. Digital cameras use different kinds of memory cards like Compact Flash (CF), Secure Digital (SD), Smart Media, Multimedia, Memory Stick, etc. These memory cards differ in size, memory capacity, and features.
A memory card's read and write speeds are a major factor when it comes to performance. Cards designed specifically for digital SLRs may be identified by a speed factor of 20x to 80x (Lexar) or by a name such as Extreme III (SanDisk).

As large memory cards and disk drives are now much more affordable, there is little reason to use anything other than the highest quality settings.
When the memory card is inserted, the Import Dialog will appear and in the source panel under Devices label you can see that the volume for it is added. Check "Eject after import".
