Memory Stick Pro. The year 2003 upgrade to Sony's Memory Stick flash cards. The new MS Pro cards are available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB capacities and offer faster read/write times. All of Sony's digicams made in 2003 or after can use MS Pro cards.

And the sony A65 DOES support the Memory Stick Pro Duo. As a matter of fact it supports all of the following: Memory Stick PRO Duoâ"¢/Pro-HG Duoâ"¢ media; SD, SDHC and SDXC memory card.

Sony has upgraded it to Memory Stick Pro to overcome some short coming of the original memory stick. SD Memory card - many think it is the storage card of the future and is currently the most popular memory card in consumer digital cameras.

Memory Stick

It is to be expected that in the near future other brands of cameras will accept Memory Sticks as well.
The latest addition is the Memory Stick Pro Duo, an ultra-small memory card (20 x 31 x 1.6 mm) with a capacity of up to 4GB.
