I had tried a year ago to get some shots with a MF camera (but was limited to 1/500)..too blurred. This year I "borrowed" a N80 35mm w/ faster shutter and AF, and the results were far better.

 


The MF cameras in question are designed with removable backs and film modules from the start, the cameras are quite big so an add-on digital module (particularly one tethered to a personal computer, as many are) isn't a problem and finally, ...

All these potentially fatal mistakes are specific to large format, in the sense that most of them are impossible, or quite rare with 35mm and MF cameras. Here are some of them, and how to avoid making the mistake. Additional suggestions welcome.

A polarizing filter (a circular polarizer for all AF and some MF cameras)
A warming filter - 81A, 81B or 812
A UV filter (maybe - you can probably use the warming filter instead)
Lens hoods for each lenses
A bag to carry it all in ...
