Nodal Point - The center of a lens in a camera.
Noise - This is an artifact that appears in colored pixels in the effected area. Noise can really ruin a photograph.
Nodal point
The optimal turning point of the camera is the so called Nodal Point, this is the point of intersection between the optical axes and the main surface of the object.
Nodal points are located in two areas in a compound lens system. The front nodal point is where rays of light entering the lens appear to aim. The rear nodal point is where the rays of light appear to have come from, after passing through the lens.

Short rotation is a term used to define cameras that have a lens that rotates around the camera's rear nodal point (the optical point from which the focal length is measured) opposite a curved film plane.

The ratio of the lens focal length divided by the apparent aperture of the lens. The larger the aperture, the smaller the f-stop.
The technical description of focal lengths is rooted in the mathematics of optics - it's the distance between the focal plane and the rear nodal point of the lens, given infinity focus.
Thus, the angle of view is the angle between imaginary lines drawn from the opposite ends of the film plane to the second nodal point of the lens. All objects within this angle will be recorded by the lens on the film.
