OEM

An original equipment manufacturer, or OEM, manufactures products or components that are purchased by a company and retailed under the purchasing company's brand name. OEM refers to the company that originally manufactured the product.

Brand name does not warrant quality as many big time camera makers routinely out-source their manufacturing to OEM (Original Equipement Manufacturer) lens or OEM camera makers for their low end cameras.

The printer was an Epson 820, a 6-color photo model. Ink was Epson's OEM inkset for this printer. In the printer driver I set the resolution at 1440dpi for the image pages and 720dpi for the month pages.

Then you can make sure you have the original disks with which to re-install your operating system - always assuming you ever got them in the first place, which is pretty rare these days. Operating system tend to come pre-installed with no OEM CDs.
