2 Under your Actions palette, pop out Menu, select New Action.
3 Name the action ‘Black and white conversion’.
4 Assign a function key such as F1 to your action.
5 Select ‘Record’.

The color palettes vary intentionally between the different manufacturers. The principal manufacturers of color film are Agfa, Fuji, and Kodak. Negative film has a wider exposure latitude than transparency film.

Select FLATTEN IMAGE from the layer palette.
Select EDIT - CONVERT TO PROFILE - ADOBE RGB (I work with Pro Photo in 16 bits and I don't want to deliver that kind of color and bit information to magazine.

Like brazen, daylight thieves, both fog and mist steal from color, texture, and shape, reducing scenes to a muted palette of hues and simple forms without details.

The limited color palette also adds to the idealized setting, but all together the shot lacks drama.

A standard VGA colour palette is used with version 3 files, which do not support custom colour palettes. The PCX format supports RGB, indexed-colour, grayscale, and Bitmap colour modes, and does not support alpha channels.

GIF files are restricted to a 256-color palette, making them insufficient to accurately reproduce photo images. Graphic designers regularly use GIF files for images and logos with limited colors.
