PC (Perspective control) lens
Another name for a shift lens that has a sliding front panel so the lens can be raised or lowered from its normal position to correct for verticals when shooting from high or low angles.

I also use the perspective controls in PSCS3 to correct distortion and correct any color fringing and vignetting. Perspective corrections have a use beyond the obvious architectural applications.

A Speed or Crown Graphic press camera (at the expense of movements, not a good choice if you are interested in perspective control or depth of field control.

However other techniques such as composition, perspective control, a photographer's eye, etc. are equally important. Exposure is the technical aspect, the other is artistic aspect of getting the perfect picture.

Next would be new versions of PC (perspective control) and particularly TS (tilt/shift) lenses. The current 85mm tilt/shift PC is an excellent lens, but what about wider angles? The 28mm PC and 35mm PC lenses are now ancient.

Many architectural shooters buy specialty tilt-shift or perspective control lenses, which allow for wide-angle shots with almost no distortion. They're also quite expensive.
