Photo paper - A heavy paper with a glossy finish specifically made for printing high-resolution colour photographs with an inkjet printer.

Start by putting the negative in the enlarger, get it focused, get it sized, and stop the enlarger down to ƒ8 or ƒ11. You want an aperture that's somewhere in the middle.

Choose your photo paper - most people don’t know that they can actually pick the kind of photo paper they want. Stores will usually choose a cheaper (and lower quality) kind by default.

The last step in an ICC workflow is to have an output ICC profile for your printer and photo paper type.

There's something magical about watching an image develop on a piece of photo paper in the developer tray.

Many of them rely on photo paper as opposed to film. Photo paper is much harder to deal with than film and is much harder to obtain.

A print made from placing the negative in 'contact' with a sheet of photo paper and then exposed to light; the resulting "Contact print" is the same size as the negative and therefore not enlarged.

Pretty good prints can now be made using a basic computer, Photoshop, an Epson color printer and Epson Photo Paper. Epson prints are of a high enough quality that this option should be carefully considered as a possible alternative to a darkroom.

Even if you can only afford a very inexpensive digital camera, you will still have nice images, you just might be limited in their maximum size on photo paper, and will have to wait a bit when taking images quickly.

I then print the results to my HP DeskJet 722c printer on Ilford Inkjet Photo Paper. I've also had good results with digital prints from places like PhotoAccess.com (and a lot less waiting and cutting).

Example: The A/R of many digicams is 4:3, whilst the A/R of standard 6" x 4" photo paper is 3:2, which explains why you can't print the whole image without cropping part if it or having "waste" paper at the ends.

Use paper appropriate to the quality you wish, glossy photo paper is best.

The side of the film coated with emulsion. In contact printing and enlarging, the emulsion side of the film-dull side-should face the emulsion side of the photo paper-shiny side.

It was 1966; however, before the company launched its first compatible amateur slide film, and then another three years (1969) before all its films, photo paper and chemicals fully matched with processing systems.

I usually print my photos from an inkjet printer (the Canon Pixma iP4000) using glossy photo paper. The prints I get are very high quality - you can't discern them from those you print at photo kiosks.

The problem with movie film is that it is not made for photo paper prints. It is made for film strip prints for cinema.

Of course, the silver compound would have to be kept in darkness until used and, even then, would be applied to his photo paper in a very dim room. His sensitized paper would need to be kept in a light-tight environment.

When a gray card is not available, a white card (the back of a sheet of photo paper) can be used, but you must compensate your exposure by two f/stops.

Print single photos or photo groups onto fabric as you would onto photo paper. The fabric can then be washed and sewn into just about anything. If you've ever thought photo albums were nice but not very cuddly, this is the answer for you.
