dot pitch
The measure of the spacing between the centers of physical pixels on an output device, usually a monitor. On monitors, dot pitch is expressed in millimeters (mm) between the centers of like-colored pixels. See shadow mask.

Dot pitch
Used with monitors, it indicates the distance between individual dots. The smaller the distance between dots, the sharper the image. Good monitors usually have a dot pitch of between 0.25 and 0.27 mm.

Dot Pitch: The distance of one phosphor dot in a CRT to the nearest phosphor dot of the same color on the adjacent line.

Pitch:
A rotational motion in which an airplane turns about its lateral axis. Pushing forward on the control stick will lower the elevators, which forces the tail upward. The pilot will then see the nose of the aircraft fall or pitch.

Dot pitch is measured in millimeters (mm), and a smaller number means a sharper image. How you measure the dot pitch depends on the technology used.

When pitching to clients, don't tell them that you can reduce rates. Say what rate you work for and leave it at that.

If the pitch of the periodic pattern is smaller than that given in the equation shown above, it is absolutely impossible to obtain the image of the pattern.

Again, pitch black room, manual focus set to 10m, slight reflection back from the Olympus in the display case caused a lens flare dot.

pitch black. This is a shooting environment that I especially love and where I find the most unique marine creatures.

Pixel pitch is the distance between pixels center to center and smaller numbers are better. This number gives you an idea of the density of pixels and will be larger on a large screen with low resolution.

Dot pitch Describes the distance between the perforations on the monitor's shadow mask- The better displays usually have a dot pitch under 0.28mm. As with fine halftone screens, the smaller the dots, the sharper the image.

The pitch from Time magazine was as good as I’ve ever heard. They wanted to photograph Sir Richard Branson in a spacesuit for a story about his new Virgin Galactic space flights.

replacement of the pitch accent with a stress accent

You can make a high-pitched "toot toot" sound through your regulator to get your model's attention. You could use a tank-banger or some other audible cue, but when both hands are occupied with camera and strobe, tooting is sometimes easier.

Dividing this out yields a pixel pitch of around 5.5 microns (a micron is one thousandth of a millimeter).

Conrad Erb: I don't have any sales pitch. I ask the clients questions about their wedding plans and converse with them about what they are looking for. I make sure they have checked my references.

Ron explains, “Standing here works better for capturing a left-handed pitcher. If you stand to the right of first, you will have the third baseman, shortstop, and second baseman making plays right in front of you.

The finer the pitch of the screen, the sharper the image. The PITCH of the screen is the size of a single pixel. On color CRT screens, a single pixel is composed of three phosphor dots: red, blue, and green.

The exultation of the pitcher after he throws a third strike. The look of disgust as the batter slams his bat down after striking out.

A simple pitch: I'll put together some photos and audio from the back story of the shoot that didn't make print and show it on their website to resonate with the article.

Instead of pitching a tent and roughing it, consider splurging on a stay at a traditional park lodge where you'll be surrounded by history, nature, and even some luxury.

For me, that probably was a tent pitched on the side of a building in a busy parking lot in the middle of the day, with 20 rows of chairs lined up before a five-foot-square screen. A pro makes the best of the situation.

There's usually a high-pitched whistling whine which increases in frequency as the unit is charged up. This is caused by an oscillator circuit, used to convert DC to AC so that the device can generate the high voltages needed to charge the capacitor.

No small task when the pitch is a fastball traveling at 90 mph. Professional sports photographers will not only anticipate where to point their camera in order to best capture the action, ...

The Wide View Filter on the LCD means that the camera can be pitched at various shooting angles to enable framing of awkward shots.

This method is used when the motion is obvious. For example when a pitcher is pitching a baseball the motion of the arm is obvious. We use freezing method when shooting actions such as a person jumping in air or a soccer player kicking the ball.

This not only corrects for pitch (up/down rotation) and yaw (left/right rotation), but also for vertical and horizontal motion which becomes very important when the lens is close focused and working in the macro range.

The darkroom
The ideal darkroom is pitch black, but total darkness is sometimes difficult to achieve in the home, especially if you have commandeered a room that also serves other purposes.

The "L" bracket and camera assembly is then rotated by releasing the lock on the center post of the tripod, and the camera angle, in relation to horizon (pitch) is adjusted by loosening the wing nut and moving the plate on the "L" bracket.

The sharpness of the background can be influenced by apertures and shuttle set. In the flash mode, bulb setting usually is set for absorbing more ambience light (background information), so the end result of the exposure won't be pitch dark.

it only really lacking in one respect, and that is with regard to noise as a function of ISO. The article eludes to the fact that noise increases as ISO increases, but does not do much to explain why. As an electrical engineer, I'd like to pitch in ...
