Predictive Focus Tracking System
Autofocus is a function that automatically focuses the camera lens on a subject when the shutter release button is at the half-pressed position.

 


Predictive Focus
If a subject is moving toward or away from the camera at a constant rate, the camera can predict where it will be when the shutter opens. This predictive focus feature is available on some high-end digital SLR cameras.

The exposure is determined when the shutter release button is fully depressed in both single and continuous winding modes. AI Servo is supposed to be able to track subjects moving to or from the camera - a feature called predictive focus.
