Pulled (Pulling)
Decreasing the development time of a film to slow its effective speed, e.g.50 ISO instead of its recommended 100 ISO.

Pulling on the rocker switch again gives a 9-image thumbnail display... ...and pulling on it again gives a 16-image thumbnail display.

Pulling out details from the overall structure can sometime make sense of an otherwise overwhelming and confusing image.

Pulling a curve upward lightens the tones.
Pulling a curve downward darkens the tones.
The steepness of a curve is related to the contrast of the image to which it is applied. The steeper the curve, the greater the contrast.

Start by pulling one end of the canvas around the frame (make sure the frame and canvas do not move out of alignment). Pull it tight and put a couple of staples through the canvas and into the frame.

Sitting down and pulling out photos from old hunting trips is something I thoroughly enjoy - I suspect we all do (it's even better if you can show them to a captive audience). It never ceases to amaze me all the memories that the images jog.

Opposite of pushing is pulling. Pulling film means rating the film slower than its normal speed. Why would anyone want to do this? two reasons: 1- To correct a film that was accidentally shot at a faster speed.

Should you wish to change lenses then carefully remove the existing lens by pulling the lens slightly away from the camera body_and rotating it through 90°.

The result is that the real focal point of the shot becomes the face pulling person. This is an extreme example of distracting focal points in the background but it's something that happens quite a lot.

Likewise if you're in Rome and you'd like to get a picture of your friend and the Coliseum all in one, try quickly pulling out your camera while they are looking at the size of the structure and snap a shot of the wonder and curiosity in their eyes.

Whereas shadow detail recovery works primarily by pulling the extremely low values captured in the deep shadows up into the range of useful brightness, highlight recovery can't pull details from beyond the top of what the sensor can record.

Noise is an indicator that you are pulling detail from shadows. This tells me, that even the overexposed images contain some relatively dark areas, and that the tools do their best to enhance the shadow detail.

By pulling a particular color's saturation down to 0, you're omitting it from the image and creating grayscale. Whatever colors are left will be striking.

Any professional sound engineers and editors who are reading this are probably pulling out their hair right about now because they will tell you there's a lot more to editing. Of course, there is.

For short exposures, pulling the shutter out will shake the camera enough to really affect your image quality. In situations like these, grab the camera from the top covering the pinhole opening with your fingers. Remove the shutter.

Now continue to extend the graph by pulling in the highlights slider to where the mountainous range begins to build. You have now corrected the histogram and should have a more contrasted image.

In contrast, the full rotation lens rotates 360 degrees while slowly pulling the film along through the camera. With slower exposure times, the camera can effectively capture an entire plane from edge to edge.

For people who have really faint freckles, pulling up the blue channel a bit will enhance the visibility of the freckles. I once photographed a model who - when she saw the images - claimed I had painted on freckles.

Just wish it had included the Lumix GH2 because it is the one that is really pulling at me. How different in function is it from the GX models?

I cut the paper and folded the front edge as neatly as possible, securing the seamless to the table with two A-clamps. From there, it was just a matter of pulling the table away from the wall enough to get the curve of the paper how I wanted it.

It is sessile and would be easy to capture with the right-sized framer in its most traditional view, but to get a more intimate vision of the arms pulling nutrients into the sea apple mouth would be virtually impossible with a framer obstructing the ...

By the way, if you are using a long lens you will need to place something underneath it (a pebble, some fabric) to prevent the lens from pulling your camera downward and ruin your shot.

Sometimes just pulling a few inches back out then trying again works fine if it was sticking. Likewise sometimes gently squeezing the sides together a couple of times can also free of a sticking film .
