RC paper

The development and washing times are considerably reduced for this RC paper.

If you gently bend a corner of an RC paper, you'll hear a slight cracking sound. You can even bend a print somewhat without creasing it. The paper also resists tears, kinks, and abrasions.

Black and white prints (whether they be fiber based paper or RC paper) are recorded in silver. It is the silver that gives black and white prints their beautiful tone and rich values.

Although wash aids are not necessary for RC papers, they are used with fiber papers.

-Resin coated paper (RC) - printing paper with a water repellent base. RC Paper can be processed faster, require less washing, and dry more quickly than fiber based papers.

Portland Photographics does not offer Ilfochrome RC anymore. They've said the RC paper jams their machines. I had to order deluxe prints, which are higher in price, but I was pleased with the results.

Resin-coated (RC). Bromide paper Bromide paper having a water-repellent plastic base. RC papers require less washing, dry more rapidly and generally process faster than fibre-based papers.

Prints may be dried in a print dryer designed for polyethylene or RC papers not to exceed 190°F (68°C). Adjust the print dryer to the minimum temperature required to dry the paper sufficiently.
