Rear Curtain Sync Edit
Some cameras offer the ability to fire the flash at just before the second curtain closes. This is called rear (or second) curtain sync, and it is used to freeze motion at the end of the exposure.

Rear curtain sync(bottom) fires the flash at the end of the exposure, after the ambient light has been recorded so the streaks trail behind the subject.

Rear curtain sync means that the flashgun fires a millisecond before the shutter closes rather than just after it opens.

Rear curtain sync - when the flash fires an instant before the second or rear curtain of the focal plane shutter begins to move. When slow shutter speeds are used, this feature can create a blur effect from the ambient light, i.e.
