Reflex lens - alternative term for mirror lens.
Refraction - change in direction of light rays as they pass obliquely from one transparent medium to another of different density, e.g. air to glass.

Mirror, or reflex lenses, have awful bokeh. This is because they have a relay mirror in the front of the lens that blocks the central part of the lens' aperture.

Mirror lens (Reflex Lens).
Lens in which some (usually two) of the elements are curved mirrors. This construction produces comparatively lightweight short fat long focus lenses. They cannot be fitted with a normal diaphragm.

Reflex Lens A reflex lens employs a combination of mirrors and lens elements to "fold" the light path, permitting a reduction in overall lens length and weight compared with conventional lenses of equivalent focal lengths.

Special lenses such as shift lens or PC lens, fish eye lens, mirror lens or reflex lens will not be mentioned here. As these lenses are not common and hardly required by average camera users.

Camera shake is the inherent shaking of the camera from the internal mechanism (the reflex lens) that occurs when the camera isn't stable during the actual photography results in unsharp images.

In some filters, half ND filters can be very effective to lower the contrast, esp the sky to achieve more balance effect. Lens like reflex lenses, where its aperture is fixed, ND filter can be the only way to play around with exposures.
