Refresh Rate
The rate at which an image is redrawn on a monitor. The faster the refresh rate the better the image will appear on the screen and have less of a flicker.

Refresh Rate - The rate at which the image is redrawn on the LCD viewfinder. The higher this rate the smoother the picture.
Registration - A full color photograph is achieved by positioning the primary color channels over each other.

Refresh rate: How many times a second a screen, LCD or TV, is updated. Under 15 looks decidedly 'jerky'
Removable media: Memory cards. Compact Flash and Smartmedia were the original types.

Refresh rate. The time it takes the camera to capture the image after you press the shutter release.
Removable media. Storage media that can be removed from the camera.

Refresh rate
The rate at which an image is redrawn on a CRT. This is needed because the phosphors at each pixel are stimulated by the electron gun for only a brief time.

They show up on a few camera models every year and every one that I have ever tried has been too low in resolution, sharpness, and refresh rate. The G1 changes all of that in spectacular fashion.

The two biggest shortcomings of these viewfinders is their refresh rate and resolution. A slow refresh rate means that as you move the camera, the image on the screen lags behind the scene you are pointing at.

Low light operation relatively poor (very slow AF and screen refresh rate)
Live histogram unreliable, disappears when setting exposure compensation
ISO only visible in detailed display mode; Auto ISO doesn't show selected value at all ...

The PAL TV standard defines a composite video signal with a refresh rate of 50 half-frames per second where each frame contains 625 lines.

Standard-definition video is generally agreed to be video of not more than 576 lines interlaced with a refresh rate of not more than 30 frames per second.

They have a high refresh rate, avoiding the jerkiness and color separation that occurs on slower refresh screens.

Tagged Image File Format - An image file format that loses no image information when compressing files.

Avoid LCD monitors that are marketed to the gaming community, because these sometimes sacrifice the bit depth of their LUT (or other aspects) in exchange for higher refresh rates - which are of no importance to viewing still images.
