Multi-flash imaging promises to facilitate and pioneer complicated rendering of mechanical objects, plants, or internal anatomical parts.

Rendering intent is the method by which Photoshop forces the gamut of a larger color space to fit within the gamut of a smaller one. Basically, the problem can be restated as how one gets a large peg to fit in a small hole.

Rendering overlapping objects that include an alpha value is called alpha blending.

Render the images you like at a good size and close any smaller versions or any images you do not like. While qtpfsgui has a Levels adjustment option, it is best to save this adjustment and do it in your editing program later on.

Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar: I followed the sharpening technique spelled out in Russell Brown Tips & Techniques. Russell Brown explains the same sharpening technique and other cool Photoshop tips in easy-to-follow QuickTime videos.

Render.
1. To calculate a computer image and draw it onto the screen.
For example, let's say you resize an image. The computer must recalculate what the modified image looks like before it can display it.

Render. This is the final step of an image transformation or three-dimensional scene through which a new image is refreshed on the screen.

To render closer objects in sharp focus, the lens must be adjusted to increase the distance between the rear nodal point and the film, to put the film at the image plane.

1. To render an electronic file invisible and capable of being overwritten. 2. To remove an item, such as a letter, selected block of words or cells or a selected part of a graphic or an image.

Color rendering
Much more neutral
Tended to oversaturate strong greens and reds. (Effect was strongest on colors that were already highly saturated.) ...

Color Rendering Index (CRI)
A numeric evaluation of the accuracy (in relation to "daylight" at 100) of various types of light sources. Example: HMI is about 90.

Saturation rendering intent tries to preserve saturated colors, and is most useful when trying to retain color purity in computer graphics when converting into a larger color space.

X3F embedded rendering data - Photo Pro 2.0 now supports the storage of rendering data (adjustments to digital exposure compensation, contrast, saturation etc.) in each X3F file.

Once you have rendered the video clip at the new speed you will want to play it to see if the movie flows evenly or if you will want to readjust the speed setting to make it better.

solubilize
to render something soluble.
solute
a dissolved substance.
solution
a uniform liquid mixture that consists of a solvent or liquid and a solute, or that part which dissolves in the solvent.

When used in a skimming or crosslighting fashion, it renders sharp, crisp texture. Because the light rays are collimated, or parallel, with little flare or spillover, a spotlight produces high contrast.

Scanning a print, slide or negative at a certain dpi will render a digital image with pixel dimensions (height and width in pixels) in a direct ratio to the size of the original image (height and width in inches).

They render every scene as 18% middle gray and adapt the exposure accordingly. This will be OK for the majority of scenes, it is only when very dark or bright parts dominate a scene that the meter will be fooled by trying to render it as middle gray.

A phenomenon in which straight lines are not rendered perfectly straight in a picture. There are two types of distortion--barrel distortion and pincushion distortion. Distortion cannot be improved by stopping down the lens.

Underexposure Exposing the film / image sensor to less light than is needed to render the scene as the eye sees it. Results in a too dark image. Unipolar An analog signal range that is always positive (through zero).

Each film emulsion is formulated to render accurate colors under light of a specific color temperature. For example, some films are designed to give accurate color when used in daylight of around 6,500K.

Auto-white balance can render your images a dull gray on cloudy days. If your camera has a white balance setting for "cloudy" or "incandescent lights" use those settings in those situations and you'll render much more pleasing color.

It doesn't have to be a good picture just a good print with some well rendered pale tones. When you have a print you are happy with make a note of the exact exposure time, like you always remember to do.

The B/W Conversion filter utilizes a Spectrum slider that allows you to target a particular color range and manipulate how it's rendered. The B/W Conversion: Dynamic Contrast filter includes a Contrast Enhancer slider that's used as the name implies.

"Reserve the use of levels to times when you want to limit the output range (ie, reduce contrast by rendering ONLY the highlights OR shadows of the image for special effects, particularly in design), ...

Camera vendors have taken even more care to hide this image rendering meta-data. It includes some fairly simple data such as the user setting for White Balance to more sophisticated information such as the sensor's black and white levels.

A rendering intent that aims to maintain colour accuracy at the expense of preserving relationships between colours, used to predict how images will appear when printed on paper or other substrate with a distinct colour cast, such as newsprint.

In color negative processing, the first and only development causes reduction of the silver halide grains that have been rendered developable by exposure. Thus solarization can be carried out in this step.

Chromatic aberration, also called "colour fringing" or "purple fringing", is caused by a lens not focusing different wavelengths of light onto the precise same focal plane and/or by a lens rendering a different magnification each of different ...

A term used to describe the ability of a lens to render fine detail clearly; dependent on the contrast and resolution of a lens and varies with the f/stop; in general, a lens is sharpest at the middle apertures.

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a relative measure of how colors shift when illuminated by a particular lamp as compared to a reference source such as daylight. Daylight has a CRI of 100, the highest possible CRI.

There's no need to dial in any positive exposure compensation here - with no highlights to fool the camera's metering system into underexposure, the snow will automatically be rendered bright.

For example, a camera that renders a 2020 x 1440 (2020 x 1440 = 2,908,800) read will have 2.9 megapixels. Digital cameras tend to produce images at 2048 x 1536 pixels, which renders a 3.1 megapixel measurement.

Oh, and as for giving filing at Abott and Tincombe using a number instead of a customer's last name, unfortunately, 50% of clients do not bring their claim tags in, rendering the number useless.

Fill flash is used to fill in shadows or areas that would be rendered too dark without additional light.

Noun derived from the active verb "bokasu" which means to befog, to gradate, to render opaque, to smudge or render out of focus.

It is common for fast film to have larger grain size and poorer rendering of colours (or grey scale) than slow film.

Color balance is achieved when a color recording device (like a camera) renders an image close to how the human eye perceives it.

For these instances, you'll need to out-think your light meter and over- or under-expose to render tones correctly. Over-expose to render white objects white, under-expose to darken black objects (see Figure 5).

Remember that with the White Balance set to Daylight, the camera is ready to capture a "cooler", or higher color temperature and render it without a color shift.

Part of the problem is that your camera's optics introduce distortion when rendering broad panoramas on tiny, two-inch screens.

DAYLIGHT FILM - Color film designed to render correct color balance when exposed in normal daylight.
A camera equipped with a DEDICATED FLASH performs fully-automatic flash functions with simplicity.

2 has now a preview mode where the process will be rendered on a preview of the image. This is very fast and it allows you to test and see the changes almost in real time.

Different brands and makes of slide give their own flavor to pictures: Provia rendering scenes in a cool, low-key, translucent way, Kodachrome in a rich, deep, colorful way, and Velvia in a completely over-the-top almost cartoonish way.

If your camera allows for the use of filters, purchase a polarizer. This will help you render deep blue skies against bright white clouds, richly contrasting colors, and other wonderful effects with a simple twist of the wrist.

Overexposure. Exposing the image sensor to more light than is needed to render the scene as the eye sees it. Results in a too light photograph.
PAL. A European video out standard to display images on a TV screen.

Differing amounts of spherical aberration alter how lenses render out-of-focus points of light, and thus their bokeh. The word "bokeh" comes from the Japanese word "boke" (pronounced bo-keh) which literally means fuzziness or dizziness.

Display PostScript: The PostScript command set that renders images directly to the screen.
Display Type: Used for headlines and advertising copy, it is larger than 14 points.

Second, they render out of focus highlights as doughnut shapes which can ruin a picture. Their main advantage is their size and low cost. Currently only Minolta offers an AF 500mm.

Cubism - early twentieth century European art movement characterized by the rendering of forms as simplified planes, lines and geometric shapes.
Curvilinear distortion - combination of barrel distortion and pincushion distortion.

The 3CCD camera system uses three distinct CCDs for processing, so there is no light loss. The result is beautifully rendered images with vivid colour, fine detail, and rich gradation.
A Clip
A small snip-it of captured video.

A special key function that will use the luminance values in a layer to determine the transparency of that layer. For example, a luminance key could be set to render the darkest areas of the layer transparent.

-Neutral filtration in color printing is the filtration at which color balance is achieved, rendering a neutral gray ion the film image as a neutral gray on the photographic paper.

Split Field Lens: A semi circular close up lens in rotating mount. Attaches to the front of a lens and enables it to render near and distant objects in focus at the same time.

These types of enlarger heads scatter the light more evenly across the surface of the negative. One advantage of the cold light head is that it can render more subtle tonal gradations and will minimize the effect of dust and scratches on the ...

Slide: Usually a 35mm, mounted positive transparency made from any number of "chrome" films. The ilfochrome (positive to positive) process can be used to print a slide, or, if a "C" print renders the desired effect, ...

The number of bits assigned to each pixel in the image and the number of colors that can be created from those bits. True Color uses 24 bits per pixel to render 16 million colors.
Color-Filter Array ...

The word has a couple of meanings but in the photographic world it describes the quality of the background blurr or in other words - the way how out-of-focus objects are rendered.

This extends to the point where a very tiny aperture can render nearly everything in focus, and a very large aperture could have almost no depth of field and only a single distance would appear focused.

The lens system is focused on a fixed point, usually at the hyperfocal distance. With the use of a medium size aperture (f11) most subject distances from 6 ft to infinity can be rendered reasonably sharp. The simplest cameras use this system.
