Resin-coated paper (RC) Printing paper with a water-repellent base. RC papers can be processed faster; requires less washing, and dry far more quickly than fibre-based papers. (see Fibre (FB) & Multigrade) ...
Resin-coated (RC). Bromide paper Bromide paper having a water-repellent plastic base. RC papers require less washing, dry more rapidly and generally process faster than fibre-based papers.
[edit] Resin-coated papers (RC) The paper base of resin-coated papers is sealed by two polyethylene layers, making it impenetrable to liquids.
RC - Resin-coated. READY LIGHT - A small light on a flash unit that indicates whether there is adequate power to fire the flash.
Photographic papers used in Navy imaging facilities are either coated with polyethylene or are resin-coated. These papers are coated on both sides of the base.
Inkjet papers are typically comprised of sandwiched layers of ink-absorbing materials, usually over a resin-coated base. The thicker the paper, the heavier the weight, measured in grams per square meter (gsm), a good reference of a paper's durability.
-Waterproof paper is another term for Resin-coated paper. -Water softeners are used to eliminate most of the minerals and slats found in hard water.
The heavy is often limited to exhibition-grade papers, and the light is getting a bit harder to find. As a rule, resin-coated (RC) papers come in a medium weight, with a medium-weight fiber paper being a bit heavier by feel, if not actual weight.
