Rewind crank. A device, usually on the top of the camera, for winding film back into a cassette once it has been exposed.
Exposure compensation was placed on top left with the rewind crank placed on top. All you had to do was to turn the camera on, focus, compose, meter, and shoot. My first camera was a Minolta X-700 which is still in production (as of September 2000).
A homage to the original MP, the new MP (this time standing for "Mechanical Perfection") cosmetically resembles the original (even down to changing the rewind crank back to a knob!) but is functionally closer to the M6 Classic.
Film Rewind Crank. Film Speed Dial. Flash Synch Socket. Lens. Depth of Field Preview. Self Timer/Exposure Lock. Aperture Ring. Shutter Release. Some Olympus cameras have the shutter control on the lens.
