WATER RINSE BATH To slow down the action of development, you must immerse the film in a water rinse bath.
Rinse as Soon as Possible Displacing salt water with fresh water is one of the most important post-dive maintenance tasks you can perform. You don’t have to leave your camera soaking in the rinse bucket.
Rinse
Is a brief clean water wash between steps of a processing cycle to reduce carry-over of one solution into another.

Rinse the photo with cold water for around 30 minutes, or until you've successfully removed all of the photo fixer solution.
Water rinse. The film must be washed in water for up to thirty minutes or as directed by the film's manufacturer. This is done in order to wash away all of the previous chemicals' residue from the negative.
Once thoroughly rinsed, your equipment should be equally thoroughly dried, using low beat such as above a radiator.

Water rinse. Continuous agitation for 2 minutes.
Second developer. 18 mL of Dektol stock, 80 mL of water, 11 mL of Kodak Ektamatic S30 Stabilizer, and 20 mL of Kodak S2 Activator, all diluted to 250 mL.
The second step is a water rinse batch and I usually put in 500 ml of 102-degree water to keep the drum up to temperature in preparation for the color developer.
After your dive, don’t leave your camera unattended in the rinse tank*. I have heard many, many stories that start with "it flooded in the rinse tank".

The nylon has a waterproof coating. If you need to wash it, rinse it in water. Don't use soap and don't put it in a washing machine.
