Many medium format roll-film SLRs can accept a digital camera back to turn the camera into a DSLR with very high image resolution and quality (typically 21-60 megapixels as of July 2009).
red window - a window covered in transparent red material in the back of a roll-film camera to show the frame numbers on the backing sheet of the film and show when to stop winding. Introduced by S.N.
The film can be washed either in the tank or in a roll-film washer. When the tank is used, insert a hose down through the center of the reels until it is about 1/2 inch from the bottom of the tank.
