SCSI chain A chain that links SCSI devices on your system. A SCSI chain may include such devices as a scanner, a CD-ROM drive, an external hard drive, and a tape drive.
Each device in the SCSI chain is identified by a unique identification number. When the scanner is connected, you must verify that none of the peripherals have the same identification number.
