Slow-sync Flash - This camera feature is ideal for night-time photography to, for example, illuminate subjects standing in front of dark buildings. The flash fires just before the shutter closes.

 


It's called slow-sync flash, and it's a little easier than panning. To use slow-sync flash, you'll need to use a slow shutter speed in conjunction with your flash.

The NX10 has a comparatively sophisticated flash system, allowing you to select first or rear curtain slow-sync flash, as well as two fill-flash options (one that attempts to reduce red-eye).

There are motocross events almost all year around, so remember to take into account the various lighting conditions you’ll experience. If your shooting area is covered by trees, then you may find a slow-sync flash technique useful.
