Digital cameras use different kinds of memory cards like Compact Flash (CF), Secure Digital (SD), Smart Media, Multimedia, Memory Stick, etc. These memory cards differ in size, memory capacity, and features.

SSFDC- This is a type of removable memory card- it stands for Solid State Floppy Disk Card (also known as "Smart Media"). It should be called "Dumb Media" because it is just a memory card with no processor.

Four types of memory cards exist at this time: Compact Flash, Smart Media, Intel Miniature Card and PCMCIA.

There are a number of formats, though compact flash is probably the most popular (others include smart media cards, secure digital cards, and Sony memory sticks).

Often, the subject is stiff at the beginning of the shoot, and loosens up progressively. Bring extra Smart Media cards for your camera so that you have plenty of storage. Sometimes, you’ll get the best shot of all at the end of the shoot.
