Stitching - This is a method of putting together different images to assemble a large image or panorama.
Stop - This is how much light is allowed through the lens to the object the camera is trying to focus on.

The initial investment would be relatively small (the cost of the stitching SW, and either a new desktop scanner - which I'll probably get anyway - or the price of paying someone else to do the scans).

Not many people seem to have time for the traditional art of cross-stitching any more, but that may change. PM Stitch Creator is the software that allows you to prepare your own counted cross-stitch patterns.

Despite our best efforts, we found that stitching errors are very common when using this function. In the top panorama above, notice the vertical line of blurring where images have been stitched on the right side of the picture.

Seamless image segmentation and stitching
Many modern image processing algorithms require a fast and efficient method of image segmentation.

Adobe's own panoramic stitching utility
Photocopy
Simulates the effect of photocopying an image. Large areas of darkness tend to copy only around their edges, and midtones fall away to either solid black or white.

Adobe Photoshop has a plug-in that automates the photo stitching process. If you don't have Photoshop, there are a multitude of software packages out there that can help you with the process.

Several HP digital cameras are the first to offer in-camera panorama stitching-a feature that fuses up to five single shots together to create one seamless image-right in your camera. You don't need special software to stitch your image together.

It is quite common for other programs to be included such as Panorama software for stitching images, programs for cataloguing them, photo albums or photo manipulation software.

Other popular software is for making panoramas, so called stitching software. If you like panoramas or want to try you will need this software. Even panorama software is included in some of the image editing packages.

If you are shopping for a digital camera check that the new camera of your choice comes with this panorama or stitching software. Otherwise there are also several excellent free version of this software available on the Internet.

There's a great highlight/shadow correction feature, an easy way to match color between different images, and a panoramic stitching tool.

For example, shooting outdoors when clouds are scudding across the sky will make stitching difficult. Interior scenes can work well.

For the landscape category I have a (3-shot) stitched image where I had to do some small corrections to compensate for some misalignment in the stitching. Mainly just cloning in photoshop. Does this violate the contest rules?

Lack of adequate angle of view makes it impossible to fit that picture into the camera (aside from stitching and other generally poor substitutes). Poor focus speed misses an action photo entirely.

Most photos of the bride are from the front, but there are often beautiful beading, stitching, and other details on the back of the dress - so look for those as well.

I’ll convert the brightest shot in my pano sequence first then convert the rest using Previous Conversion. That helps me to keep the exposure and color casts stable from image to image which really simplifies the stitching process.
