Tempering bath Techniques Glossary Tempering bath A tank or tray containing temperature-controlled air or water that holds processings tanks, bottles or trays and maintains their solution temperature throughout the stages of processing.
Tempering bath Large tank or deep tray filled with water maintained at the correct temperature for processing. Used to house tanks, drums or trays as well as containers of processing solutions.
The tanks are filled with the proper chemicals, placed into the tempering bath, and allowed to stabilize to the correct processing temperature. The remainder of the operation is carried out in the dark.
