Photography Transfer rateTransmittance

As a starting point, you should become familiar with the terms transmission, opacity, and density, or T, O, and D. TRANSMISSION Most photographic material, even clear film, does not transmit all of the incident light that is relevant to it.

Transmission
Another way that color manifests is through the process of transmission. With transmission, light is actually transmitted through an object. One example of transmitted light is colored glass.

transmission densitometer
refer to densitometer, transmission.
transistor
a solid state active device made of semi-conductor material such as silicon or germanium, used to control, amplify, or boost electrical current.

Image transmission/ transfer
The digitalisation of images means they can be transmitted via data carriers or networks without the loss of quality or copied an infinite number of times.

Transmission of innovation
Knowledge of new innovation was spread by several means. Workers who were trained in the technique might move to another employer, or might be poached.

Transmission - passage of light through a transparent or translucent material.

St Transmission (free for personal use only)
This free font is available in two weights: thin and extrabold. It has standard OpenType features such as ligatures, slashed zero, contextual alternates and lining figures.

The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is used for checking the number of graphene walls. Observation is conducted thorough every sample and the number of graphene walls of each CNT is checked from all the pictures taken.

YOUR TRANSMISSIONS Any material, information or idea you transmit to or post on this website by any means will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary.

Command transmission distance depends partly on the angle at which the master is transmitting relative to the slave and whether you're using the units indoors or outdoors.

Wireless transmission with the WT-1
For those covering events, the optional WT-1 attaches to the bottom of the D2H and allows wireless transmission using FTP directly to your computer network.

Facsimile Transmission (Fax): The process of scanning graphic images to convert them into electronic signals, alter and adjust these signals to correctly reproduce the original, ...

Average transmission The average calculated over the useful transmission region of a filter, rather than over the entire spectrum. For a bandpass filter, this region spans the FVMM of the transmission band.

Testing Wireless Transmission
However, the wind this morning was pretty mild and I didn't think the OctoDome needed more than one sandbag for the time being.

Technically, it explained as a piece of material which restricts the transmission of radiation. Generally coloured to absorb light of certain colours. Can be used over light sources or over the camera lens.

The transmission curve for this filter in their most recent catalog shows an almost ideal steep straight falloff in transmission to zero at 400nm.

Use a low gear in the transmission and transfer case. Don't climb at an angle or cross the face of the hill below the top. You may slide sideways or even roll your vehicle.

3. Don't Straddle Big Rocks. Carefully put a tire on the rock.

Digital capture and transmission have perfected the split second instantaneity of photography, but while photography moves ever faster, the world it captures and the stories it strives to create move at a much slower pace.

The plot below shows the transmission characteristics of a number of "UV filters".

You can also specify any one of four channels for flash control, each capable of controlling up to three groups of flash units, and check that all are within transmission distance by pressing a test button.

Teleconverter: Maintains the working distance of the lens, but at the cost of light transmission due to additional glass elements. A 50mm f-2.8 lens with a 2X teleconverter becomes essentially a 100mm f-5.

Of course, for the same reason automatic transmission is good in cars. Meaning, most will use automatic transmission because it helps them drive how they need to simpler and faster. And when you get a new car, you get used to it pretty quickly.

Mail Sending / Mail Transmission Settings
Mail Sending allows you to email one or more images via your current email application (Outlook / Outlook Express).

The transmission of pictures between two points by means of radio or telegraph. A print is wrapped around a cylinder and scanned by a small spot of light. Reflected light values are transmitted as a stream of signals.

Created especially for the transmission and storage of photographic images, it offers a significant reduction in
file size. It uses a lossy compression scheme by averaging the data in blocks of
8 x 8 pixels.

Believe it or not, one of the best places from which to shoot lightning is near tall power transmission lines. The photo shown in this tutorial was captured in just such a location.

Modern camera lenses are designed on computers, ground to critical tolerances, coated with chemicals to improve light transmission, and then mounted in precision barrels and mounts.

The process of encoding files through an algorithm, which decreases the size for storage or transmission over the Internet. There are two types of compression: lossy and lossless.

Think for a minute about what a bad Xerox copy of fax transmission of an image looks like. Or think back to the days when Microsoft Windows rendered in only 16 colors, or Mac OS was still black and white.

Compression - Process of coding digital data using fewer bits, in order to save storage space or transmission time. There are many Compression algorithms and utilities.

Ah, the whine of revving engines, the smell of burning rubber, the reverberation of double-clutched transmission boxes. Where are we? Well, we could be sprinting across Third Avenue in mid-Manhattan headed toward NYI's World Headquarters.

Neutral Density Graduated (NDG) or a "grad" is an optical filter that allows for variable or graduated light transmission.

Here's a table of % light transmission at different wavelengths for a few of the filters specified above. You should be able to figure out the approximate behavior of the other filters by comparing them to this table.

Compression Refers to a process where digital files are made smaller to save on storage space or transmission time.

Note: I've used a variety of wireless triggers over the years and am thrilled to find that the StarFire/FlashFire setup is more consistent with respect to radio transmission than any other setup I've used.

File Transfer Protocol (FTP), also known as disambigulation, refers to the process of sending or receiving photo files over a network supported by a transmission control protocol, such as the internet.

This reduces transmission time and storage requirements. There are number of different algorithms in use that provide either lossy or lossless compression.

You are prohibited from accessing these images for download, use, storage, copying, transmission, printing or modification. By agreement upon submission, FreePhotoCourse.

a slide is a transparency. Also, it is the property of allowing transmission of light through a material. In digital imaging it is used to denominate overlay and translucency properties in PNG, GIF, and TIFF files.

Phase Alternation Line. System for minimising hue errors in colour transmission used in the EU.
Pan Format ...

This results in a significant reduction in image size (not often pointed out by manufacturers of such optical devices) and a slight loss of light transmission.

Small apertures bring more light diffraction, degrading the image resolution and they reduce the light transmission, forcing the use of longer exposures, which leads to motion blur in the pictures.

Compression
The process of reducing the size of a digital file, usually through software. This speeds processing, transmission time and reduces storage requirements.
Compur shutter
A well known German brand of compound shutter.

The largest aperture we most frequently see these days (on DSLRs any way) is f2.8. The full-stop apertures, in order of reduced light transmission, are: f4, f5.6, f8, f11, f16 and f22. Each one of these is one stop less light than the one before.
