Transparency scanner An optical input system for digitizing images from small format positive or negative transparency film.
It is relatively easy to create a custom profile for your transparency scanner, but it is very difficult to get a good profile for your color negative film. If you're new to color management, I'd suggest using Adobe 1998.
To scan slides or negatives you need access to a film scanner (sometimes called slide or transparency scanner). By using the included filmstrip holder, negative strips up to 6 frames in length can be scanned, one frame at a time.
