Techniques Glossary Variable-contrast paper
Black & white printing paper that changes contrast when exposed to different coloured light. A yellow filtered light produces lower contrast, while magenta increases contrast.
Variable-Contrast Paper Photographic paper that provides different grades of contrast when exposed through special filters.
The recommended times in Bath I assume a diffusion enlarger and variable-contrast paper, or a digital scanner with a density range greater than 3.
