When washing film, it is important to remove the light-tight lid from the tank. This allows for WAY better circulation of the water.

 


WASHING
Fortunately both of these problems can be quickly and easily overcome by rinsing your equipment in freshwater. preferably tepid, immediately after your dive.

WASHING - The rinsing of film or photographic papers with water to remove chemicals from them.
WASHING AGENT - A solution that reduces washing time by more quickly removing processing chemicals.

This is something one should do regularly throughout the day. It keeps the infections bacteria lying in wake in the air streams, and things you touch from doing any harm to you.

Washing aid
A chemical solution used after fixing and washing the film or paper. It shortens the washing time by converting residues from the fixer into forms more easily dissolved by water. Also called hypo clearing agent.
